Who we are
About us
ICAOSA-NA is a registered not for profit 501(c)(3) organization in the USA, affiliated with ICAOSA Global and consists of a vibrant community of former students from Ibadan City Academy (ICA) who now reside in the USA, Canada, and the Caribbean.
In 2015, a powerful movement among ICA students in North America began, inspired by images of our beloved school circulating on social media. The stark reality of the poor conditions in our classrooms and facilities, where we once flourished in our educational journeys, could not be ignored. This motivated a dedicated group of alumni in the USA to step forward, providing crucial support through donations of chairs and tables and the renovation of the Class 5 block.
Recognizing the urgent need for sustained, long-term assistance, a remarkable alumni team, including Dr. Yinka Tella, Mrs. Folake Akindele, Pastor (Dr.) Femi Taiwo (all from the class of 1982) and Mrs. Hadrat Azeez (class of 1983) united in 2017 to create a communication platform. This initiative was a vital step towards connecting with fellow alumni in North America. Consequently, on April 15, 2018, the first executive council of the ICA Students Alumni Association of North America (ICSAOSA-NA) was elected, marking a significant milestone.
